Hi everyone. Summer is gone and Fall is here now. So hopefully, we will soon see some fall colors! Until then, here's the selections. fitz with Santa Maria Valley 205 bremner with some older SP action co_riff with a portable boiler Hardcoaler with a CSX freight and r_i_straw with some covered hoppers
Those hoppers probably transport grain. Not very appetizing to think about, looking at their thrashed exteriors. Ugh.
I am thinking those particular hoppers were in some other service. They were being spotted at the Nalco plant in Sugar Land, a business in oil and gas well drilling lubricants, "mud", site cleanup, water treatment and other related products. Some sort of dry mineral or chemical would be my guess.
I enjoy the diversity of photographs each week -- different eras and subject matters always make it interesting. I like it too that we don't have to submit immaculate photographs to TrainBoard. Many of us have pictures of interest that are fun to share, but lack technical perfection and it'd be a shame for these to never bee seen by others. This is the Internet at its best.
