That's a beautiful picture from Caleb. Great pics everyone else. Thanks for picking one of mine Buddy.
Buddy, those are some seriously good choices, as usual. I have also been enjoying your IAS postings. (that's not the right combo of initiails, is it?). :tb-biggrin:
I'll give you that much credit for getting at least three letters right. IAIS, that is. :tb-biggrin: BTW, thanks for the comment on my postings.
I liked this one so much I set it as a background. When I increased the size, I noticed an advertisement on the rock wall on the left side about two-thirds up the wall. What does it say? Was it common and when was it done? Thanks for the historical help.
Thanks Flash! I wasn't sure what the sign read either, but I did a search and here's what I learned. The whole sign reads: Mennens Borated Talcum Toilet Powder BC Maxwell Company Trenton New Jersey It was painted in the early 1900's. You would think that such a grand rock face would have a more important advertisement on it but no, it's "Toilet Powder".
Thank you, Caleb, for that information. It is old and I am surprised it is still there. Also, it was a spiffy bit of rock climbing to haul all that paint up there and keep the letters all straight!
