Just a question; I saw the TRAINS article on the CP leaving it's Indiana lines; It shows some SOO SD-60s that were bought by the line's new owner. Is the S00 6011 amoung them? Also, if the 6011 isn't there, is it still owned by the CP?
Gary, presently a majority are still around on the Soo. The following are leased to INRD - 6003, 6004, 6006, 6007, 6009-13 and 6016-18, though there are two versions of the number - 11 units (as per INRD's web page) but the numbers I have noted here total 12 (from the CP Heavyhaul list)! I can't find reference to any loss of a SD60 to explain the different number. 6011 appears to be one of those leased. The keyword here is 'leased' so I suspect either they are still in CP ownership, or have been passed back to the leaser, and on leased. 6000-6002, 6005, 6008, 6014-6015, 6019-6062 are still in Soo (CP) hands, though there is word that more are leaving to CEFX after being displaced by new GE units. Probably the remainder of the first and and more of the second order.
Further to the above, 6000-6003, 6005, 6008, 6014-6015, 6019-6020 are due to leave the property to CEFX. In resolution to the confusion re numbers going to INRD, 6003 noted above wasn't included.
