The Clyde Engineering Motive Power workshops in Port Lincoln South Australia is my favourite place within 25 miles of my home to observe the local railway. The Locos and rolling stock maintained are a collection of aged units ranging from approx 40 to 30 years old. It is a chance to see how things would have looked in the 70"s on the mainstream railways before the bust of the 80's. [This message has been edited by E-8 (edited 02 June 2000).]
An interesting photo, indeed! At first I thought I was looking at a duel-gauge railroad .. but a closer look shows that the 'inner rail' is nothing more than a trail of oil from some locomotive(s). ------------------ Bill "Get Goosed on the Yreka Western"
That looks like a very interesting place to watch trains, and you must see a lot of variety - I am envious ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery
