Has there ever been a PRR E8 in Tuscan red or whatever the red color PRR used on their locos in HO scale?
I know of the new N scale versions.

    Thanks in advance

As close as I can come is an E7 by Lifelike Proto 2000 series.

Yes, AHM, IHC, and Rivarossi made a E-8 PRR Tuscon red set! The AHM/ Rivarossi set is old, however I do believe IHC still offers a newer upgraded version of these. Its the exact same tooling and all just new motor and gearing on the AHM/Rivarossi style frame and body casting... If my memory serves me correctly it was last updated as of 1993. HTH

    You called it, John.

THe 2002 Walthers catalog lists a powered and dummy A-A set in the Tuscan red from IHC. It's item number 348-1931 and lists for $39.98, but remember, only fools pay retail! [IMG]

    cthippo,
Look in their for a B&O set, and all in the passenger blue, grey, black sceme, and let me know if theirs any listing for this, an AA set if possible. And if I may extend that favor also look for a E-8 B unit as well, to match... I've been digging and looking for this set now for awhile with no luck in finding... TIA

Not from IHC, but Rivarossi has a B&O E8 A-A set, product 635-6242, $84.98. You can look at it on their website here .

I see no mentiojn of an E8B anywhere. HTH

    cthippo,
THANKS! I wish the price was that of IHC's but I model a road thats expensive so.... I kinda figured it was going to be up their in price.... but I just may have to pay that to get an ABBA set.. I know their are E-8B's around. IHC and Rivarossi both made them. Just they are rare... So I'll have some digging to do.... Thanks!

    Gee,

I got a couple of Pennsy E-8's in HO by Proto-2000. I don't know if you can find them now as I bought mine a bout 3 years ago. These are the Tuscan and gold single stripe version, if my memory serves me correctly. I haven't had them on the layout in a while as I am waiting to put decoders in them.

Anyway, if you look hard enough you may be able to still find some at some train shows.
