Or the centercab Baldwins, either- only one I know of still around, and it's stuffed & mounted in a museum.
Yes, they have a 3rd SW1500, and that's the extent of their roster - 3 SW1500's all day. This is their roster: #67 & #74 #2347 I asked if there were any plans to acquire a road switcher. They like the SW's for a few reasons: -high cabs -better forward view -They put road trucks on their SW1500's so they actually get a nice smooth ride, a big benefit of a road switcher installed in a yard switcher -I'm guessing the SWs get better mileage and perhaps they have minimal upkeep/repair costs. I got the above info. from "X" who is an employee of PGR. I told "X" it would be neato to see a road switcher in PGR paint but there are no definitive plans for any road switchers at the moment - with good reason, if you don't need them, why buy them?! Those switchers look sweet- the last SW1500 I saw was a crapped-out, majorly grungy SP goat working local shippers in Grand Junction. IIRC, Milwaukee/Soo also used MP15s on the High Line, and they have Blomberg road trucks.
For those of you interested, here's PR's web site: Progressive Rail There are also many pictures of Progressive Rail on the ABPR news group
