Good morning all, Anybody in the Denver area with nothing planned for this Saturday.......keep the following in mind!! Just a heads up, American Assn of Private Railroad Car Owners (AAPRCO) will be running their special train of private varnish on the Front Range Sub, Saturday morning, Sept 18th. The special train is scheduled to leave Denver Union Terminal at 7:00 am. I'm in Longmont, and this train WILL be passing through, I just don't know when. Will be heading to favorite hobby shop Saturday morning. IF I'm back in town before the Varnish train arrives, I'll be attempting to get some photos of it as it passes through. Can't always hope it stops for a meet in town though!!! Anyone interested in chasing it, drop me a line and lets see what can be worked out!
Unfortunately, no I didn't. Never saw it or heard it in Longmont, before I left for Denver. Did not see or hear it on my way to or from Denver either. Figure it either snuck through quickly and quietly, or it never came through. Whatever the situation, I never saw it.
