I changed from HO to N last christmas, and I have had more fun just running the long trains, than trying to keep the engine from finding the back of itself in HO. GO For GOOD Times GO For N SCALE!! (Go-Mart ad) to everybody (especially HO'ers) LOOK IN ALL THOSE MODELRAILROADER MAGAZINES, THERE AR SOOOO MANY INCREDIBLE NSCALE LAYOUTS!!!
The plunge has done been took- I've started to buy some cars, and I got an N scale Atlas RSD4 off of eBay- it's undecorated, but that's OK with me. Now, I'm thinking about a layout design (but that's a topic for the layout design forum) With a space of 5 feet by 9 feet to operate in, I'll have more, railroad-wise, than my HO pike was. Also, thank God (and Kalmbach Publishing) for Jim Kelley's article on N scale locomotives! (is this where I jump up & shout" Halleluiah! I have SEEN THE LIGHT!!"?)

quote:
Take no notice of these hardcore HO types! N Scale is the place to be, quality and range is very good these days, and getting better all the time. Plus lots more railroad in the same area

Yeah but there's some things that N scale doesnt have what HO's got. I strickly model HO, "Why?" do you ask, cause it's there & you can add alot of detail. Plus HO has got something N scale doesnt have, scale couplers. So as Rush quite simply said "Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.", you have to be a Borg queen in order to assimilate Capt. Picard. Which means if your a HO modeler converting to N scale, it isn't all too easy, cause you have to think about where the layouts gonna go, how much material you need and estimate how much $$$$ you got in the bank to pay it off. To convert or not to convert? That is the question!
