Hi, does anyone know of any website / forum / place on the internet where there are pictures of bridges, large or small, with the names or insignia of railroads on them? Any replies are much appreciated Phil
I can't think of a site with a specific topic. I know there are a few in RailImages. Also, we have seen a one now and then, including recently, in the "Weekend PROTO FUN!" topic.
I recall seeing the bridge at the north end of Ashland, OR that still has "Souther Pacific" on it. Used to be another up the Siskiyous crossing I-5 that had a sign with the S.P. logo, but it has been taken by someone. I don't know of any site with that information either.
I don't know of a web site. but it sounds like a fun google maps activity. This one is in Colorado Springs. https://goo.gl/maps/nasgn4PoFJR2 And on the way to Pueblo. https://goo.gl/maps/qN9recr2FD12 Jason
That it does! Maybe start a thread here on TB and everyone can add to it? This one surprised me when driving under it a few years ago. https://www.google.com/maps/@40.154...4!1s-rzMd6oX_7OUWsRt9eqDtw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 -Mike
The bridge is gone now gone. When ODOT widened highway 99E they wouldn't replace the bridge so the railroad was abandon past the bridge The truckers win again
Southern Pacific at Clinton Drive just north of Port of Houston turning basin, ca. 1990. The second bridge with no rr name belongs to Port Terminal Railroad Assn.
