well these are some pics of my latest gp60m workings, by far not even close to the caliber of tehachipifan's gp60m but it will do.
Mitch, looking good I guess they will be done in the red and silver? Oh BTW you better hurry up and finish this there are 2 UP's flying over lol
Tell us more Mitch, what all did you use. I am still working on my GP60s for DRGW. Had one almost done, using GP40 walkway but I have restarted using the SD60 to get the anticlimber.
Just curious - is GP60M a fantasy model kitbash or is there a prototype GP60M? I never heard of a GP60M but that doesn't mean much coming from me. Jas
well i started with a gp40-2 and chopped the shell right behind cab and removed the dynamic brake blower housing, then took a sd60m shell and chopped behind cab and basically glued them together. sills fit right up and match so no extra work there. i had john heathman mold the dynamic brake grid from resin for me from one i took from another older gp60 i did. also placed new blower housing from the sd60 on. removed some of the handrail and replced with a small section from the sd60. then the rest is all the details. jason just to answer it is a proto unit. here is a link to the unit http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/atsf/atsf102afm.jpg the hardest part will be doing the gp60b unit to go with it!
Thanks for the kind words, but yours is looking just fine to me!! Your approach is certainly going to save you from induring the fits of frustration I went through with forming my own brass handrails! Excellent work! Russ
