Hello Friends Did somebody converted a Märklin Steamlocomotive into a PRR'2 Steamlined Loewy K4 Steam Engine? Are there any pictures from a finsihed Locomotive? BTW the kit can be ordered on Kevins website for 50$: http://www.hobbycraftsnmore.com/php3dp30mub0020/proddetail.php?prod=#010015803KIT
They have been around for a long time. PZ used to offer the shells painted and decaled, but they are only available unfinished now. I'm on the road right now, but somewhere at home I have pictures of the painted versions. They look pretty good, but I was never a fan of the streamlined K-4, so I never bought one. I thik the locomotive shell was actually cast by GHQ many years ago (for PennZee). The tender and trailing truck were cast "locally". I keep thinking that I should buy one just to have it, but I already have enough stuff like that. Dan S.
Hi Juerg, as far as I can see out of stock, and this is the case for a long time as I remember. And the trailing truck is out of stock too, I bought the last one 1/2 year ago
Hi Gerd Is there already something to show??? I ordered one kit a long time ago. Therefore I had to use the email function, because when it’s “out of stock” the order form doesn’t work. No response till today.
I got one, I got one......... Hah!!!!! Little over a year ago, a trade was made to paint a Undec GP35 into my famous red/white Happy Birthday scheme. In trade for this beauty this very kit was transfered to my hands. Shortly after that another deal was made with a famous Swiss Z scaler for the Marklin chassis needed to get this project started/completed. Needless to say all of the parts are sitting in my "My Project" bin awaiting time to finish them!!!!!!!! :shade: Hobo Tim
I think they are still available from PennZee. In fact I am waiting for one from Olsen right now. I know parts were cast by GHQ and London Bridge Toys. I think they are still available from London Bridge Toys.
Hi Larry, the trailing truck will be for some US-steamer I don't know at this stage....if I have lots of time
