    Thank you for the kind words, all! I will get some better pics as soon as we have a sunny day and i can get some good natural light. The season of rain and darkness has begun here in NW Europe, so it may be a few days =P

    looks good! finish looks nice and it doesn't have to cost the earth either to paint brass.

    My suggestion would be to paint the axle ends of the drivers at the very least but the wheel faces as a whole even better and the wheel face of the lead truck wheels too.

    Look forward to seeing more pics.

    I will look into painting the faces of the wheels. I am just phobic about a bit of paint where it doesnt belong, though enamels are easy enough to remove from metal, should that occur I suppose. Thank you for the feedback! I will try to post more photos!
