Don't forget the gray and orange scheme! Most people don't like them but I do. When I worked in Champaign there was still one of these running around, I think it was a GP-38. Also when I first moved to the Land of Lincoln, the Chicago Central & Pacific, a short line spinoff of the IC from Chicago to Debuque had a bunch of GP8 and GP10's. I have pictures and slides as recent as 1997 of them in orange & white, gray & white, Deathstar black and CC&P red. I used to paint a lot of IC & ICG orange & white N scale stuff when I lived in Champaign. Good sellers with the IC yard there and all. Last I checked the Paducahs are mostly off the roster with the Iowa Interstate.
wow thanks for the replies. I started this a long time ago, but I am always pleased to hear more. I lived in Urbana as a kid and saw alot of IC stuff, then one day all the diesels started sporting this weird ICG logo. BNSF, Any pictures you feel like sharing would be most welcome as this is one of those things that just went bye bye. Did you get a chance to get any pictures of N&W over on the urbana side of town?
