Well I made a new slideshow with my dads photos! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOfT7fNHRVQ"]YouTube - Old train pictures slideshow[/ame]
My next project is the orabge blossom special. If I can come up with enough pictures that have orange in em then ill make it. So if you have any photos of maybe BNSF and want me to put it in the slide show ill give you credit for it.
Awesome slide show Alex! Great pictures of the Loud and Nasty and one of my favorite songs of all time:thumbs_up:
Thanks steve! Yea it took me about an hour on that one. Yesterday I did a NS and Black & White slideshow and it took me about 4 hours cause ive never done it before.
Now I'm moving you to the A+ list. A few years ago I actually rode the City of New Orleans to New Orleans and rode the American Queen. We actually got on in Kankakee Ill(reference the song). I even had a small MP3 player on that had that song playing. A great memory for me. Thanks again. Waiting on The City of New Orleans in Kankakee The American Queen Downtown New Orleans
I wouldnt really have even thought about making until my dad said something. So I just went threw his photos and found some RR's that ran to N.O. And I just peiced it together!
great slide show, young man! Arlo Guthrie probably made the song"City of New Orleans" famous, and it is one of my favorite tunes. However the song itself was written by Steve Goodman(dec.)and one of my railroad song CDs has Stevie singing his own song. I,for one, would like to see you do some more work like that. Seems to me you have a knack for it! CT
If you do southern railroads again, you might want to accompany it to the "Chattanooga Choo-Choo", a famous WW2 era tune. If you do the Pennsylvania Railroad, you might want to use a Glenn Miller tune, Pennsylvania 6-5000(Which BTW IS the telephone number of the Pennsylvania Hotel in NYC). Doing the Rock Island RR? Try "The Rock Island Line"(various artists). There is a folk song named "Midnight Special"(various artists). You could probably adapt that one somehow. Another good one is "Sentimental Journey" another WW2 era tune sung by many, many artists.("Gonna take a sentimental journey, gonna set my heart at ease...) Good Luck! CT
YO, Alex, that's great! My favorite RR song and your dad's great old photos. I really enjoyed that. You have talent, young man. I may have to send you a DVD (not yet produced, just in my mind) for you to edit, add music and post. :tb-biggrin:
I found the song. But I dont have many amtrak pics. So if you have any and you want them to be in the slideshow send em to me threw PM and ill give you credit for em.
Well my newest project-(Song-Back home again in indiana) All pictures are taken in indiana! I will get it done either later tonight or tommorow
