Here's my first serious attempt at taking (and figuring out how to post ) pics of trains in action. All of these were taken along the Old Main Line near Mt. Airy, MD and Frederick, MD. Comments / criticisms welcome
Uh, I think you need some more practice.... please make arrangement to have at least 100 more pictures posted Seriously, they are really good pictures. Thanks for sharing Harold
Great shots Lefty You were kinda up close and personal with 8409 I don't get to see Helpers down here ... except once when the Sunset ran out of FUEL 1/4 mile from the house Thanks, and keep them coming - Hank [ 27 April 2001: Message edited by: Hank Coolidge ]
Thank you Hank! I guess I should make a disclaimer on that shot of 8409...I was fairly close (as far as getting pics of moving trains go, approx. 15 yards). But I made use of the zoom lens
Lefty, if you really are a beginner at taking action shots, you have done an excellent job I particularly like the first one, I love those 'in-yer-face' shots! Also the last one, as different loads on flatcars always add to the interest. MORE, PLEASE!
very good composition Lefty. You seem to have a nack for posing good action shots. The guys on here are greedy for more! That does include me you understand?
OKAY, OKAY!!! Keep yer pantyhose on ya'll (nothing personal intended...it's just a favorite saying of mine!) Ask, and ye shall receive... I do have a few more to scan and post to the photo album hosting site that I'm using (webshots.com). For some reason, it seems to be taking an extraordinarily long time to upload to webshots. In the meantime, here's a few to whet your appetite. By the way, thanks for the kind words Some leased power... Hey Chessie...look familiar? I tried to get a better shot on the middle one, but had to contend with vehicles in the shot waiting at the crossing...@#@!# drivers, don't they understand what I'm trying to do? The last pic was just point, shoot, and hope Hope that helps! I've got my scanner working overtime! I only have two rolls developed right now. [ 28 April 2001: Message edited by: Lefty ]
