Didn't realize you were in Medford. We are in Westfield. I have been talking to some friends about the layout. They had an interesting idea. Instead of making it a mine make it a loading pier. The P&W receives coal by ship down in Providence. This would be a little more realistic to New England as there are no coalmines up here that I know of. Curious how that would work with loadingthe hoppers. Might also give reason to have other kinds of traffic in there too. Many things could arrive by ship. Might be fun modeling the ocean scene too.
The Whip City Railroad Well, the track is finally down for the Whip City Railroad. Here's a few pics. I started installing my backdrop and then realized it was totally the wrong way to do it. I used one of my own panel kits. I am going to re-order the prints and take that top shelf down. Then I can line the panels up properly so the seems almost disappear. With the shelf above it is difficult to keep everything level and there was some cutting involved. Hopefully I can get that done this weekend. That's if the truck repair doesn't break the bank.
