Here's a scratchbuilt structure I finished a few weeks back, just needs weathering and the grey card taking away and bedding into the baseboard. The final structure I am just on with is a new Sawmill with a footprint of 15" by 11". Should have this completed by the new year. Paul
Amazing, as always Paul! Have you made use of all those castings you got last saturday? Can't wait to see the new sawmill
As usual, it’s simply amazing Paul. Where do you get the inspiration? Do you draw a plan based on old pictures, or do you simply draw one from your imagination? I just started working on my first scratch build building, (I’m trying to use the black foam core technique described here http://www.horailroad.com/clinic2/cl2_005.htm ). I drew a simple plan for a coal mine building in TurboCad and am now ready to get started. Of course my building will be very simple, nothing fancy like yours, but at least it’s not a Walther’s “standard” kit. But where do you get the inspiration? Jesper
I see some elements that I have seen in other kits...I think Paul simply sees what he likes, draws it out, adds his own flavor, and builds it...I wish I had the time! [ 05. December 2002, 01:32: Message edited by: Benny ]
Amazing Paul, as normal. Thats a great looking structure! I tell ya, it make a dang nice station with a lower plateform! Great work! I love that thing it looks so real and with "life" its crazt to know its a model!
Paul, would you kwit it!?! You're starting to make me feel real lazy, hehehe. Excellence, as usual. When you're done with that prototype, I'd like to order a kit from you. Ready-built of course
Paul, every time i see your work i hit my jaw on the desk! Great work i am definately in awe of your talent
Hey thanks all, really nice comments from you all. Sorry, but I cannot stop building these structures, everytime I find a photo of one I like, I jump straight into it and get it started. Paul
Paul, you are insane! Insanely great! I hope you know that when you share your work, you bring joy and inspiration to others. Thank you for this.
Paul, Outstanding work as usual, I'd love to see some overall pics of the finished layout if thats possible
Once again, thanks my friends. Alan, couldn't play Golf this week, the place has been shut due to the damn RAIN. Paul [ 07. December 2002, 19:31: Message edited by: Paul Templar ]
Paul, there are plenty of areas here in the States (and down in Australia) that woulda loved to have some of that damn rain The rain does have other benefits- you can get some more modeling done. And judging from the looks of that awesome building, it must be monsoon season in England
