Just testing my digital camera with some pics from around Sandy River area.

Helge, very nice! What kind of camera did you purchase? It seems to take some nice close-ups.

I would say that is a pretty good test of your camera, great depth of field. Layout looks good, too [IMG]

Nice pictures with good depth of field. I am also curious to know what camera you used and if the photos had additional floodlighting or just natural indoor light.

Just a word of warning here though, tell the guys in the lumber yard not to fire up their power station. The main transformer would blow up, and set fire to everything within 200 meters. but nobody except a retired electrical engineer would notice that.

An electrical substation or power station certainly adds interest and depth to a layout and this one looks well used and weathered. Having it supply the lumber yard was good thinking and it really doesn't matter if it looks electrically correct or not to those that have never designed one.

You've done a really nice job of landscapping and I have put your photos in a file to refer to for inspiration, for when I get around to doing the lanscapping on my layout.

    More pictures please.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
The camera is a FinePix2400Zoom with 3X optical zoom. If I use the macro function it gives clear depth from 10 - 80 cm (about 4" - 30"). Otherwise the field begin at about 1.5 meter (60").
The images are stored on a SmartCard witch
act as a movable disk when connected to the USB port of the PC. You can get SmartCards in the size 8, 16, 32, or even 64 woo woo woo.
I used 3 x 200 watt normal lamps placed near the ceiling for some indirect light.
Do this camera costs anything? :(
Well I got it for about 5500 SEK (= 550 USD).
    Gary,
If there will occure an accident I will call for Sandy River Fire Brigade! :D

Technically the transformer itself is oil cooled, and the switches left of the transformer is also oil cooled - see the oil circulation pump on front of the nearest switch.
