Peter Wright has been busy making a select few of us U.S. style turnouts to match MTL flex track. For those unfamiliar with Peter Wright, he is in England and has been making Euro tie (sleeper) spacing Z turnouts and Nn3 US turnouts for years. http://www.wrightturnouts.com/ He is requesting feedback about whether you all are interested in them too. They are "drop in" replacements for Marklin turnout size so it is easy to plan. These are electro (live) frog but is simple to wire with the turnout motor like a Tortoise or Hoffmann (thru Aspen Model) and is great for siding power routing. I have 22 of them on the BAZ BoyZ modules and they run flawlessly. He is also contemplating #8s for us mainliners. Below is a comparison to Marklin turnouts:
Hi Jeff; The Wright turnouts are very nice, and from what i've heard from folks like you and Loren, they are great!!!! Gwyl and I considered them for our club modules, but went with hand built fast tracks instead. It was not the price that turned us off, because they are priced right, and are not expensive. The turnoff was the long delay in getting them. You BAZ guys have got him shipping all is US orders to you!!!!! And we were affraid of waiting to long, and thus slowing progress. Anyway, i plan to buy a few of them one of these days, and check them out myself. Also offering #8's would be great because thats what we use on our mailine too. Tony, #8s would be welcome by all means. I favor Peter Wright's over even the Fast Track built because I don't have to make them ) I have to take a little responsibility for hogging them as you say. Actually, I believe Peter will sell to anyone who wants to cough up the dough. Jeff's yard looks great because of the continuity of the appearnance. Go Peter, go! Loren

Tony, Someone slipped the cows a bunch of Exlax laden hay and they really messed up the stock cars. I'm having them steam cleaned, sanitized, and repainted just for you ) Seriously, I am about two days behind so give me a few more hours before you send the hounds to get me!
