That's great news Don. I own allready a bunch of SP Woodchip Hoppers build by Bob Hunt. His work is great. BTW is a UP Woodchip also planed?
Howdy Jurg, I'm speaking for Don as he would probably have to ask me first anyway to find out. The UP chip car is definitely in the thought process at least. That's all I can say for now. Loren
I still have to build my Fanno SP kits, but I made some Golden West decals, so i'll do one of myne SP and the other Golden West Service... When I get enough spare time.
I just got one off these kits's by trading for some off my own NERR stuff. It's a nicely done kit and fairly easy to build. I'm not sure how I will paint it yet, but I guess I start with a coat off black as a base.
The model is now finished with paint, decals and weathering. I decided to go for a Rio Grande scheme all thou this modern car probably never went with this paint and road scheme. But then it will fit nicely in with my other Rio Grande stuff that I'm in a process off collecting from my trade shopping.
New roadname... ...for my 4th Fannocreek Woodchip Hopper: Willamette & Pacific. It's not the FR-Model version. Custom paint job and applied one of my first self designed decals.
Very Nice!! That is one nice piece of rollingstock!!! Wow!!! I have my hands into so much Intermodal you guys are tempting me to get some of these!!!! I know Chattahoochee Industrial RR had some woodchip cars. Hmmmm!!!! Hobo Tim
Hi Juerg and John, I'm not quiet sure, but I never saw pictures of this bodystyle with UP or CSX markings. I think they used mostly deep rip woodchip hoppers. ...and I can see on your webpage, Juerg, you have already one in NP colours from Robert.... If you have pictures showing this bodystyle with CSX or UP markings I would be interested in. P.S.: Robert, next car to release as Craftsman Kit???? P.S. 2nd: "Project Dare"?
Hi Don, that's right. And he is my source for this style of woodchip hopper. But Fannocreek has no deep rip woodchip hopper so far, but I saw Robert has made at least one...
I don't know how prototypical this kit would be, but it sure would look good in "Big Sky Blue" for the GN! :teeth:
