I wish Atlas would come out with somthing new on the modern loco side. I have 6 SD-60's but would not mind them doing SD-70's although I have to admit Kato has caught my fancy the most lately. Art
man there go my 2 90 macs and 1 80 mac, i need the kcs' and the ns units. unless i can sneak em by my wife! bad thing is my son who sees everything and tells too!!!!!!!!
Does anybody know if the KCS units are going to be in the white or the blue grey? If they are going to be in the blue grey, I'll have to sacrifice the SD90s even though I'd much rather have a Kato.
It says they are gray with the red lettering. Italso says that they are doing a H1 sd60m I don't recall any H1 sd60m's except the expiermantal paint on the 9297.Anyone else know about this the number is 9277 .
Ed, Is this what you're looking for? posted to alt.binaries.pictures.rail by trakside@netw.com on 6/13/99 Dwight [ 10 February 2001: Message edited by: Dwightman ]
BNSF SD60M 9277 was not suposed to painted in HI, it was a mistake by the paint shop. Those BN ones will look nice with my other BN SD60M's. Kevin
see they do western roads scott. now you dont need that airbrush do you? if you buy them and the paint has problems, contact atlas about them.
While some of you are worrying about buying 6 of these new locomotives, some of us are going "Big Deal." I model the early 80's, and a regional shortline. There is no way something this new would find it's way onto my roster. Second of all, a single locomotive purchase takes 3-5 months of saving up to have the money. Not everyone runs out and buys a half dozen of everything that comes out. Some of us have to wait until they go on clearance to afford them. Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R. MRRRCO Movement: Urgent request for cheese in Augsburg. Delay scheduled TV-79 Hotshot and reassign for the cheese run. This has highest priority/all approvals in place. Just kiidn with ya Rev
Well, that's it. I really have to start going to church again. I'm going to need all the help I can get to afford the BNSF SD60M's, B23-7's and the new Amtrak releases from Kato, Deluxe and Con-Cor. LORD, SHOW ME THE WAY! Rev-Jeff, please put in a good word for all of us! [ 10 February 2001: Message edited by: Maxwell Plant ]
I've come up with a little Model Railroaders Prayer, it goes like this... Our Father, who art in Heaven, how long be thy Train? Will tax returns come when new releases done for our Layouts as in Heaven? Give us this day our daily FREDS, and Lead Units not into demolision. For thine is the King-Pin, Motive Power and the Glory, forever and ever...AMEN
Welllllll, looks like childish temper tantrums work with Atlas. SD60's again and in KCS too. My, my, my! Can another batch of SD50's be far behind?
Well Im thinkin of ways to make modeling cheaper.. With all the new locos coming out at about $180aud each, its stupid.. Its a hobby, not a job. Well Ive come to a brilliant decision!!! scrappin my layout,(thats now 99% ready for the track to go down) and changing vintage to the 1800's logging layout. This way I know there is as much chance of atlas/kato/lifelike/concor bringing out any new locos that I would want like a shay or heisler as there is of me getting a Cab Forward in non brass!! Jeff, I understand that.. the military pays not so well.. But I guess I have saved a while to have 2 kato C44-9Ws, 3 SD60M's, atlas RS-11 a LSD7, and 3 bach spectrum locos...
