A friend of mine painted up an Atlas O hopper for me in his home road. Very nice custom painting and decal don't you think? Greg
Well, he lives in western Nevada and is modeling the mid 30's to mid 40's. It sort of is a shortline that has an interchange with SP. If I run my 1947 GE 70 tonner on it, we're stretching his time line. It is the only diesel he allows on the layout. GP-35's need not apply. Greg
Great looking car... Shannon and Greg, you might get a kick out of this...I have a good friend on mine who worked in the marketing and economics department of the Wobbly for the last seven or so years before the takeover. He was a railfan, and he worked with a couple other fans in the M&E, and apparently they had some time on their hands...one of the concepts they came up with was a parody of the WP...they called it the Barth, Beowawe, Battle Mountain and Pacific (BBBP). For a logo they came up with a bolt with (( )) around it to inidcate shaking...the motto they came up with to go along with the logo was "The Hum-Bolt River Route". He bought a hopper and some decals for me a couple years ago, and I painted and lettered one car for this road.
Jeff, Would love to see a picture of the car if you can. Them marketing guys normally have to much time on the hands Shannon WP LIVES (no matter what the UP says) [ 11. March 2004, 15:59: Message edited by: Shannon ]
