I am in an Nscale club that does some Ntrak to display at shows. We are not hard core sticklers for the standards of Ntrak to the exact letter but we follow them mostly. We run the traditional red yellow blue lines and have a section of modules where we have the alternate blue line as well as standard blue. We run some switching operations on this alt blue line. Myself and another member have become interested in oNeTrak as well and have quickly thrown up some decent onetrak modules that are pretty simple. Now we have to figure out how to join these to the rest of the layout. The only caveat is the onetrak line needs to attach to the alt blue line. I came up with these:

My latest brainstorm was a vertical cross a la the erie over the nyc in Newburgh NY. Google it and let me know what you think. Erie ran down to a car ferry there and crossed over a bridge before descending to river level. This would be an 8 ft module set with about a 2 percent grade to get the elevation to cross the 3 mains. The onetrak section would have a normal modules connecting on the other side shimmed up to return the grade back down to normal height.

The other guy looking at this came up with this one.

Min radius on the blue line is 18in and max grade is supposed to be 1.5% but like I said our group is not a bunch of rivet counters. I could live with 2%, and it would give us a reason to be running a lot of power. One of my plans involves a significant bump on the backside as does the other plan.

Ultimately dual direction access would be nice but is not absolutely necessary. Modules are 2 feet by 4,6, or 8 feet in length with 8 foot modules usually consisting of a pair of four footers that were always to be together.

Here is the actual onetrak spec book

    Here is the Ntrak manual.

Here is drawn idea I had that was very elaborate and would be a corner module on the ntrak layout. I don't know if you could actually get this to work. I suppose the same idea could be applied to a straight module as well.

junction module where the onetrak line comes off below grade. twin descending lines come off of the blue line. They cross each other at grade slightly below the level of the blue line. The inner one is exposed. The outer one goes into a tunnel. The outer comes out of the tunnel down at the lower level and rejoins the totally visable inner line to head out to the modules. You would then run a couple s curve modules of climbing to return to normal height.

All of these xtrak drawings are just for idea purposes and much would have to be done to make them represent what would actually be the finished product.

If anyone out there has some ideas for this project I would appreciate the help.

    Thanks.
