    Yes, a RIP track would work. An interesting scene with a car being worked on would be an eye catcher. Or a 2nd interchange track would give you one for incoming and one for outgoing.

    I know I'm late to the party, but really like your layout and wanted to comment. As the main goes right to left, how would you feel about reworking the run around switch on the right to where the main stays on the straight part of the turnout and not the curved track (forgive me for not using correct names but they escape me right now). You'd need to reshape that back left track a little, but it gives you a more prototype mainline and accomplishes what you want still. Hope that helps a little.

    My only other suggestion is make sure you have the clearances on the industry tracks-better to maybe remove an industry to get better operations than try to cram too much in. I'm looking forward to seeing more so post up when construction gets rolling! Good luck!

    Thanks for the suggestions and kind words, the plan improved a lot over many iterations as ideas were provided. I did finally end up removing two "industries" to keep things relatively uncluttered.

    Construction has already started and trains are running, see my thread about "Weaver Junction".
