Kato makes a very nice SD45  though I still need to get some myself  My local train shops usually have a couple in stock. Also several years ago ModelPower produced one but its pretty much garbage by any standards. I've rebuilt a few of these and got them to run  but would not even consider them a viable alternative to the Katos just practice projects ;)

Hi and welcome aboard! I like SD45's and have a few in my fleet. (They are Kato). M.B. woo woo woo's in Baltimore had new SD45's advertised in a recent N Scale Magazine ad for $49.99 (assorted roads). I would doubt they have undecorated. Give them a call at 1-888-872-4675 and ask for Shane in the N scale dept.

So, what are you going to do with them? Custom painting? Detailing? What roads?

Might I recommend SP Kodachrome with full lights or modeling them as SD40M-2s in speedlettering :D Heck, even DRGW or UP would work. But hey, I'm kinda biased ;) :D

I was thinking maybe Clinchfield or Seaboard Coast Line, like the units I have ;) I think he might be a Cotton Belt fan and know Kato released their SD45's in Southern Pacific, but can't remember if Cotton Belt was done too.

Gotta go with Chessie. An SCL SD-45 "Pulling for You" is the way to go ;)

Well i'm modeling the Cotton Belt RR.. I dont have a certain region right now.. I dont have the space or the resources to build a layout.. but I stay in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.. A majority of my rolling stock will be SP stuff, because of the limited amount of Cotton Belt..

i have some some picks if you guys want me to post them I will.. All suggestions are welcome with open ears.. I need the advice/help
    Thanks

Here are my two Kato SD45's, bracketing a SDF45, which uses an SD45 chassis. They are all excellent runners.
