I have seen modular layouts at train shows and clubs. I thought that they would be a great thing for me- I have limited space and big dreams- but going to the NMRA Website and looking at the specifications just made my eyes cross- too many details! [IMG] [IMG]

I want my layout to fit and work with everyone else's, so I know that I have to follow those specs to the letter. My problem is that I would rather see one in person. So, my question:

Does anyone have an N-scale modular layout in New England? I'm a visual guy; I need to see one before I can hope to build it myself!

    Thank you all.

Thank you kindly, Boxcab. I'll check those sites now.

    ... I like the bend-track concept!

NTRAK is THE most proven and widely known modular concept in the world. It has been well honed, and is very simple to build/use/maintain.

There will be links to individual NTRAK groups on the main web site. And, you can also e-mail NTRAK for potential personal contacts wherever you might be. There could be someone near by!

Bendtrack is quite interesting. Although it is not at all as wide spread as NTRAK, it is uncomplicated. And many people seem to have adapted parts of it for home layouts.

Let us know what you find out!

Ntrak is a very good concept. It makes putting together a small or big club/home layout a breeze. But you don't have to do the whole home layout using Ntrak Spec. You can make joints in you layout so that if you need to move, the layout will come apart in sections. If you want you can make parts of your layout conforn to Ntrak Specs so that you can build and use modules in your home layout.
