Well, you clearly didn't stick the RB block in it because you needed the extra stroke and extra torque to get an 1700 pound Colt off the line. So I assume the extra cast iron was there to hold the nose down.
Actually 1357 pounds and yes the extra cast iron was nose weight. Could of stuffed a 440 max wedge in there lol. And that was without bottles. Felt like Speedy Gonzales eeba eeba eeha. Heck my one uncle had Vega wagon with a 305. The other uncle had a beatle with a 327. So Y not a Baby Horse on steroids lol.
Well finally located the wire and tubing I needed to finish my freightliners opening doors. Trying to decide if I want to open the cabinets on the cab or not. But will be able to hinge the cab to show the engine and trans under the cab. So now just waiting for them to be mailed and delivered.
Okay little update here y'all. While waiting on parts for Michaels place and then Dale's place. I got the itch to do some truck work and found this which has been hiding in the shadows for a way to long of time. Athearn FLA single axle with twin 28 foot trailers one exterior post, one smoothside. Shot the 50's Aqua on it tonight and painted the trailer floors aircraft interior black for that well used but not abused look. In a couple of days I'll be painting the hunter green stripes on the cab outlined with white pinstripes, the rims also will be hunter green. Going to run fiber optic lights on the truck and trailers . Also shot black on the bosses tailight panel and chin spoiler which I need to redo when the paint dries. Yup having way to much fun hehehehehehe. Onto the pics.
Okay so as I've been working on the 2 tone green Freightliner I painted the rims and dolly spare tire into the 2nd color of hunter green. The camera flash kinda washes out the green which I still need to spray a second coat of paint on. Slowly moving forward on this truck. Enjoy all.
Just got a delivery today hehehehehehe. 1 of 600 and it's going into the dip tank. It's decent only draw back it's a 1990 but plan in backdating it to a 1978 model. Will be changing the headlights back to round with square buckets.
