Here are some early photos of my layout. As of right now all the wiring is done.I have run an engine only that has gone all the way around. The engine is now broken. The first image is of the right side The second one is of the center the control panel, is all different now with a Kato power pack and Kato switches The third picture shows the leftt side where the tunnels are Hope you enjoy them. Hope too have some new ones soon. [ March 12, 2005, 07:57 PM: Message edited by: wiking ]
Very nice and neat!! The only thing I might change is to run a spurr track into the fridge! That way you could bring yourself back a refreshment whenever you wanted.
It is a nice layout and good use of space. Watch out for hidden track. It is hard to clean. That was one of my earliest mistakes.
Alan: Looks like you've made great progress when you redid the tarackwork using Unitrack. I like your trackplan and know how hard you've worked to get to this point. Make sure you'll be able to access the trackin your tunnels by leaving windows in the back of the tunnels for access. Stay cool and run steam.....
Thanks guys. There are two windows that i can reach inside if need be. It was realy great when i finally got a train to run. Since i do not right now have a working engine i am us a bright boy to clean the track getting ready for the new engines that schould be coming like i said in the n scale forum.
Then, he would need a bunch of reefers. The trackplan looks quite workable and it was a good decision to go to Unitrack, you will maintain whatever hair you have on your head longer.
Alan: Which section of track are you having "reverse loop difficulties" with? Stay cool and run steam.....
wiking, Is that the layout from a book. The Atlantic Longhaul Lines. If it is you may want to cut a hole in the lower section under the tunnels. It is a lot better to get to the track under the table than through the windows.
I'm always impressed to see what can be done with the intergrated track/roadbed. After seeing what others have done I can't wait to watch the progress as it goes!
Alan: You did a nice job with the Kato components on your layout. Enjoy. Stay cool and run steam.....
Last night i ran a train who's consist was a Atlas rs1 in gn empire colors, two Santa fe box cars and an Atlas forum car. It was great because the train went around without derailing. But i must remember to reverse slowly when going trough switchs and make sure switch is right.
