I finally got around to starting my first ever N scale module which may or may not become part of my future layout. My main purpose is to get some practice with scenery and layout technique. I'll be looking for any pointers that can be given and look forward to learning a lot. My foam board is glues and trimmed and I started some painting. Though my module won't be true to any specific theme, I'm including some things specific to the late B&M era so I will have an opportunity to model after some scenic details. I'll be including the entrance to Hoosac Tunnel, a girder bridge, a stream of some sort, a couple of houses and a bit of industry. This will give me a bit of many things to get my feet wet. Sorry for the poor quality and sideways pictures...gonna have to figure out how to fix that. I would love to hear your comments and suggestions. I guess my next step will be to paint the foam board brown (I need to get some brown paint) and then I can begin the scenery. Thanks for checking out my module.
I found that this website likes to post the pics however it may. So I usually post with my iPad, and it had a photo editor built in. I just turn the photo 90degrees or 180 depending on how it posts. I also found that landscape orientation seems to work best.
I got some more work done on my module, I feel like I'm just getting to the fun stuff; Got some plaster on to shape the mountain and fill some cracks and a base coat of paint on the ground. A little more painting on bridge abutments and the tunnel entrance. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to install the bridge and tunnel entrance and get the section of track layed.
