    My DCC System is?

Lets see what the mix of DCC systems are for the users on the Trainboard. I am locking this so no one can see who select what and I am allowing only one choice. If you have multiple systems, pick the one you are most invested in.

I picked Digitrax (Zephyr only) as that is what I use at home. At many friends' layouts, and at the modular club, I use almost all other Digitrax systems alone or in combination, including throttles, wireless, etc, etc.

I'm a bit surprised at the takeup of the NCE Power Cab, given it is a relatively new option. I wonder if 'Pro' owners are ticking it in error as it's the first one you get to on the list. I nearly did - had to look at both and think quite hard about the name :)

I just got my NCE "PowerCAB" at the national train show. I'm lovin it. I got it at just the right time, My wife and kids went on a trip for a few days. Now daddy can play with his trains without having a 3-1/2 and 1yr old kid grabbing his new sound decoders:teeth:

The powercab is just right for me at this time. I like the possibility of expansion in the future.

A NCE PowerCab unit will be my DCC system once I get my layout to that point.

I know what you mean, I have two Lenz systems and a Digitraxx Super Chief and I only go to vote once as well.

I use the MRC Prodigy with the 8 amp power station on my G scale indoor layout. I have 9 outlets for the hand helds to be plugged in at various points along the layout. I have 4 handheld units so I could run up to 4 trains at once. I have found that the freedom DCC has provided me ( Loosing the block systems of DC ) Was well worth the cost. I did put blocks in the yard and roundhouse, so some tracks could be turned off and a master to kill the mail line if needed.

I have found the MRC Prodigy to be really nice. I like the digital readout and the ability to display the built in fast clock. Now with the addition of sound, This is the system I had always dreamed of back in the 80’s when I was in High school!

    Mike,
I did just what you said. I have the PH Pro, but I too quickly chose the PowerCab and voted, so at least one of the Cab votes should be on the PH Pro

I'm with Phantom. I have a MRC Prodigy system and I love it. It is one of the most user freindly systems out there.

    me too

hear hear!!! love my Zephyr, but for larger setups, dcs-100 with a db-150 booster seems to fit the bill well! I love being able to use with R/C throttles with either system. nice feature.

please, no flaming... I'm just expressing an honest opinion, I know there are many other fine DCC systems out there.

    happy new year everybody

I choose the Digital Commander unit for two reasons. with my layout I don't think I'll ever run more than 3 locomotives at a time...and I got it dirt cheap. The unit was new in box and also got 3 decoders for under $100. If I need a better system later on....I'll upgrade.
