I took the family to the museum today, mainly so I could see the new HO layout.. that thing is very cool. I was talking to one of the TEchs who said the system is DC wired in Blocks and they use some type of dectection system incase one train runs too fast and is going to catch the one in front.. I took about 15 minutes of Video but here is a link to my pictures..

The DSCxxxx ones are from my camcorder and the Pxxxxx are from my digital camera. The P series are VERYLarge and the DSC are moderate..

    Enjoy

    Jeff,
Great set of pictures. The S & I Museum has been a favorite since I was kid growing up in Chicago. The old train exhibit was always a "must" on every visit. This new one looks even better. Thanks for giving us a view.

    Thanks for the photos!

By any chance, does MS&I have a web site?

I remember visiting the Museum in 1972 and seeing the older layout, plus also walking alongside the Pioneer Zephyr. From what I've seen of the new layout, it must be an awesome (for 3.5 million, it should be [IMG] ) layout! Wonder if Pentrex will make a video of this layout sometime soon?
