Will MTL ever come out with a new engine? Their FTs are really nice. I would hate to see it become a deadend product line.

Yes, I just proposed some PRR transfer units in another thread. These engines probably make great (christmas / easter bunny / fourth of july) trains, too. [IMG]
I could come up with some more ideas, as long as I do not have to run them. [IMG]
For me the engines must look like workhorses, dark and a bit dirty.

    Cheers, Christoph

MTL went head to head with Intermountain on those engines. I think Intermountain won the match, judging by the fact that they are doing more and more paint schemes and they also did the tunnel motors.

I think MT should tool up an f40, weve had to live with life likes lump for too long now, just think a nicely scaled f40 with a flywheel drive, scale wheels, flush glazing......

I remember someone posting on another forum many months ago that their "inside info" was that MT would not be expanding their loco line. If that's true (or even what it means) is uncertain. They show no sign of halting their FT releases, though it has slowed a bit. My best guess is that when they eventually suspend the FT line they will select another type to begin a new run with.
