I am using one on my doorslab Unitrack layout. It filters the DC nicely and gives me good control for smooth running. It is rated at 14.5 VDC which is high for N scale (Kato recomends 12 VDC). At 9 watts, it is light on power and suited for small layouts. I can run four N scale engines (two on each cab) with it..no problem. Two HO engines on one cab taxed it. I would hesitate to put layout lighting and signaling on the accessory posts.
