My club is about to move to a new location and I took some pictures of some scenery I had done. This week I have to go and tear it down. Then again, I get to start over again.

I can see a lot of work went into your mountains. If your experience is similiar to mine, when you tear it out and rebuild, not only will it go faster, but look better as well.

    Nice work, Bobcat!
Hopefully there is something you can salvage for next time.

    Cheers,

Thanks guys. I pulled off all the trees and foliage and last night a good part of the layout came down including my mountain. I only wish things would go up as fast as they come down. I'm not to sure I like starting a new layout with a club right now. Everybody has the own agenda in mind and there are some who will push it down everybody elses throat. While one member was going around with a survey of what each individual would want, another is already declaring what will happen and has drawn up plans for us to follow. Gives me incentive to ge started on my train room in the basement.

Before anybody tells me that I should pipe up, and I probably should, I have enough conflict at work and I don't need it here. If it gets too much, I'll walk away and go play by myself.

If I were to ever volunteer to run a prison camp, it would be one that housed "controllers." I find I do a lot of talking about the democratic process and the "its important to hear everyone" party line around controllers. Or put them in charge of counting the vote.... lol... makes em feel important.

    Good luck

That's the word I been trying to think of, I been calling them Loud Mouth Know-it-all Big Shots, and most of them can tell by the stubborn look in old Watash's eyes that he wasn't born yesterday in no brier patch!

That's exactly why I refuse to join any more clubs including the NMRA bunch at headquarters. There are some good guys in the thing, like Corey and Roger, but the ones I have dealt with would be better off pulling their guff to Osama or Saddam!

I have tried to encourage and advise more people they have discouraged, than they have given their precious MMA's to!

Don't be afraid to be a lone Wolf, we roam in a tight pack! :D

Probably the very reason I left the model club I used to be a member of. There was so much in fighting about the layout that I decided it was more fun operating my layout on my own.

I do however wish i could find a couple of local guys to come over to my place once in a while.

thanks for posting the pictures. I like how the mountain is 'split' with the water feature.

Actually the split between the mountains is a tunnel, not a water feature. I can see in the pic why you would think so and it would have been a nice touch. The mountain as it was before I started with it, was painted an orange brown and had O scale size trees in two bunches on it. It was slapped together, I was told, just before an open house and nobody ever went back to it for about a year before I joined. I never got to put the tunnel portals on it, when I heard we were going to move, I held on to them for a future project.

    Thanks for the kind words.
