Oy! That first one is quite the looker. That second unit wouldn't be so bad if the scheme was more cohesive. If I remember correctly, that first unit was Kansas City Southern's Bicentennial unit (number 616, appearing to have been renumbered before that photo was taken), the paint scheme being designed by a little kid in grade school.
I would consider this Genesee and Wyoming's paint scheme in the most Gaudy or possibly in the category which hurts the eyes, anyone else agree. Tom
It is certainly distinctive. Anyone at a crossing with a G&W company operation, with color vision who says they can't see this coming, well.....
