The Athearn fire pumpers are rare and expensive... the others are the more common and less expensive Wiking Euro-style fire equipment. I would say that $30 apiece for the Athearns is fair... the others... meh... $20 for those. Yeah... overpaid at $162.50... but it depends on whether the buyer was completing an Athearn collection too. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
Is it just what eBay is showing me, or have seller names been removed from the pages of listings (not the individual item listing, the compilation that you can page through)? Apparently this doesn't affect straight search results (e.g. "Reader's Digest") but really, eBay, you want to hide the seller names and feedback profiles until I click on the specific listing? Make it that much harder to get information? This is tantamount to eBay buying a mall (like "The Pruneyard" not far from their HQ in San Jose) and then taking down all the individual store names.
What I really like about the fire engines are the past auction prices, talk about a steel: https://www.ebay.com/itm/7-Piece-N-...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 https://www.ebay.com/itm/7-Piece-N-...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
I am guessing that was not the final price for all 7 items.... because that would be pure larceny. Those bicentennial engines are really coveted by collectors. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
Yes, like Philip said, $162.00 is close to the going average price on Ebay. However, it appears someone got one hell of a deal. The same seller sold a lot of seven of the Athearn fire trucks for a total of $4.99 and $5.20 shipping to the only person that bid on them!
Its just drop-dead... crazy. Uninformed seller could have put a $99 reserve bid and still the buyer would get a bargain. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
Today's "winner"... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Model-Power-Vintage-Silver-N-Scale-Caboose-Radio-Equipped-3288/114646851845 At least the word Vintage is in quotes... as if the seller doesn't believe it either.

Yes, the seller "new.2u" has to be THE up and coming junk dealer. Too bad eBay doesn't post seller names in their main listing page any more-- you have to click on the item. But hey, then "new.2u" can be told how great eBay is at getting clicks!
I <think> it's possible that this is a fat fingered price, but I've looked at some of the other items from this seller and they range from reasonable to... not so reasonable.
LOL... based on all of these eBay posts I would believe we all have become instant millionnaires. Problem is we would have to sell through eBay and become part of this weirdness. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
It's early in the day but here's a candidate for today's "winner." https://www.ebay.com/itm/BACHMANN-Box-N-Scale-7201-Barn-and-Animals-New-Old-Stock-NOS/274648585295 Just how is it that so many sellers with "deals" in their handle offer just the opposite?
