Welcome back to my favorite weekly thread! It's a busy day, so without further ado, I'm gonna "jump" right into this Leap Lay MPOTW! Mrlxhelper captured a Trident missile rocket motor transport car: If I had fillings in my teeth, they'd rattle out after a trip down mikelhh's dirt road: Mark Dance caught the Kraft switcher at the Kootenay bridge: Brian K applied an SD50 scheme to this Conrail tank car, and it looks great in its new coat of blue:
Delamaize's Northern Pacific steamer is coming along nicely: Flash Blackman caught some Chinese Red CB&Q U30Cs: Hegstad1 installed Fish Creek Viaduct on his layout: Alabama Power coal on the Pinole? Yep, thanks to OC Engineer JD: See you next week!
Great selections. I think we need a new, special, thread: "The week's best pictures from Mikelhh and Mark Dance" - there is no way the rest of us mere mortals can top their outstanding photos week after week.
I agree with Rick - great shots all around, but mikelhh and Mark are hard to beat. Just one piece of advice when crossing Fish Creek Viaduct... don't look down.
Um . . . It may be labeled "Trident missile" but it looks an awful lot like a NASA Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster car to me. Still a great model of a less known prototype.
Phillip, It wasn't marked, but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. These originated at Ogden/Hill AFB, UT, IIRC. Not sure if they went over the Grande or the UP.
