I was wondering if anyone has a F7a / F9a (see below for picture) from model power that can take a picture of the interior motor/drive portion (shell off) ??? You can email me directly or post here - thanks in advance!

I think your problem may be that Model Power never made an F7! Model Power has promised an FP7, but it has not yet hit the shores of the US. There were a few train sets sold with an earler version of the FP7, though. Very few sets.. [IMG]

Or, you could be referring to the MiniTrix F9, which was imported by Model Power for a while, but the box always said MiniTrix, IIRC. :

I see the box is not for the Amtrak...anybody know what model it is? F9? Is it even a lifelike? Anyways - if so, same questions as above in first thread

That looks an awful lot like the Life-Like F?? to me. It is sold as an F7, but the dimensions are wrong. I can't help you with a photo as I don't have one of them, but it has a plastic frame, springs connecting the motor shafts to the gear towers and two large lead weights that fit over the gear towers.

As long as it doesn't have the big metal framework that a Bachmann engine has... that's all I really cared about

...this is NOT a life like engine, this engine is made by Crapmann* (also known as Bachmann)

    (* my personal opinion)
