This one turned out to be one of my favorite diorama's you have done Pawel. I am partial to waterfront scenes as well as mountain forest scenes.
Pawel, Your water looks great! Nice job on painting the people! I never thought about painting them attach to the sprue. Are those Preiser figures? The vehicles looks great as well. Scott
Those people are Preiser figures. It is easier to paint them attached to the sprue. When dry you cut them, glue in place, wait until they are firmly attached to the layout and paint the hair or hat There is still some final work with the water scenes. There is one ship "in motion". I used Woodland's Water effects: I had to wait until it is dry and clear: With normal mobile phone i even got such photo: I think I have to add a little bit of white drybrushing next to the bow and stern... Barges were also "parked" on the other side of the river. Documentary photo shows that they were kept next to the shore using wooden piles instead if ropes:
It is time to add taste to the diorama with people: And vehicles... Thanks Good it is Europe ! Othervise I should make 1/220 Al Capone and some guys with guns.
Final touches with the water. I slightly enlarged "water effects" behind the stern and drybrushed with white paint: Lifting operation "water effects": I added some rubbish and some water inside the cockpit:
Finally I installed permanently cranes. In my opinion they are the main landmarks of this diorama. Diorama is almost finished. There are still some pieces of rolling stock to be prepared and small details to be added.
