Just got my MT B&O open hopper with the "Hopper Topper" FANTASTIC!!!!!! Comes with the separate etched roofwalk and the decals for the topper.....WOW......I'm needing a dozen of these!!! Micro Trains PLEASE come out with these as a separate item.......PLEASE!!!!!! I'll stop complaining about your failed attempt on the last B&O covered hopper......
I'd like to see the top cover released as a separate item as well. I've I don't know how many 3 bay open hoppers about to hit the paint booth to become Conrail hoppers. But if Microtrains releases 3-4 numbers of Conrail 3 bay open hoppers with the tops I'll be happy too. One number just won't do. I remember seeing these at the big elevator on the east side of town off of I-71 back in the early 80's.
FYI, there was a delay to mid-June for the release of these cars, if you're waiting for them. I mentioned in the June UMTRR that Conrail also had "Hopper Toppers" and MTL has done the Conrail scheme before on their three-bay hopper, so hopefully...
