Today just north of Hearne, some track work going on. Grab shot while driving by. The high railer is in the ballast between the diverging tracks. I usually get just trees and sky while driving distracted.

ESPN's KH03 crew has closed up the switch and derail to the NS Harrisburg Line this afternoon. The train will stop shortly after clearing the NS trackage and the crew will walkup to the engine cab for the ride to Reinholds.

He was going to blend in with that Railbox yellow even if the taggers hadn't besmirched the box.

Nothing quite like the sound of a 567-16 supercharged diesel!! The turbo's just aren't as purty to hear!!

It's fun to listen to Belen's SD40-2 "switcher" milling about. Sometimes you'd think you're at the airport.:ROFLMAO:

Reminds me of a modern tram style system. I think an Australian city [ Melbourne is it?] has the longest network of tram lines. Does Houston also have a proper working subway/overhead train system like say New York has?

One of the trains I rode in Melbourne.

The Houston light rail system is quite limited but they have been slowly building it in the last 20 years or so. Dallas/Fort Worth has a much more extensive heavy rail system.
