Martinez succeeds Herzog at LTK

    Martinez, who has been with LTK for 10 years, has 25 years of professional experience, including positions with the Federal Railroad Administration and the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. An MIT graduate, he has extensive knowledge of all areas of passenger and freight equipment crashworthiness and vehicle safety. He has developed information that has served as the technical basis for rulemaking and/or industry standard development in structural crashworthiness, interior occupant protection, emergency egress/response, accident investigation and fire safety.

    Martinez also served as the Chair of the Transportation Research Board’s AR020 Passenger Equipment and Systems Integration Committee for seven years. He currently serves as the Chair for the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Passenger Rail Equipment Safety Standard Construction and Structural Committee, which is developing a series of new standards to address changing technology in the industry.
