I read a technique on how to turn something printed on the computer to a billboard or poster.I remember something about having to sand it,but the memory bank forgot the rest.Does anyone remember where or how to do this?
I think I remember a similar article some years ago. The idea was that you cut out an advertisement from a magazine and rub it over 600 grit sandpaper until it is so thin it almost wears through. Then you use white glue thinned with water to glue it to the side of buildings and it would conform to the building texture like a decal. I think it was from the Franklin & South Manchester articles in Model Railroader but I don't remember how long ago.
There have been a number of articles over the years in the model railroad press. Try searching the Model Railroad Index at www.trains.com for specific articles. Then you can try to find copies of the magazines you need, or just contact the publisher for the specific article (they will usually provide a photocopy for a small fee). Pat
