OK, here is a poll that may be a little controversial - pick the locomotive production scheme that you would like to see the most.
Ah yes Catt - i did forget, unfortunately I tried to pick choices that most likely the manufacturers could currently do - please pick the one that best fits. [ 28 January 2002, 01:02: Message edited by: ajb ]
I don't really no if the ladder option of always having some of the popular models isn't very realsitic. I doubt there is a demand for $150-250C to be constantly made. We can wish, but I would doubt there is demand myself. Dane
Well yes I guess it would reduce their profit margin a little bit, but we do have people here who'd welcome something like an N-Scale Athern that they could detail to their haerts content.
Well, it looks as though N scalers do want an Athearn type mfr. - Constant production of popular models plus occasional limited ones took the majority of votes so far, this was followed very closely by the made to order plus some extra scheme. What N scalers do not appear to want is strictly limited runs or the reserve made to order system with no extra. [ 02 February 2002, 18:16: Message edited by: ajb ]
ajb, I totally agree with you since that is the only choice we N-Scalers seem to have for the time being with excellent models. All I can say is "Thank Goodness there are not very many B&M Modelers out there!" I just purchased a brand new Con-Cor B&M E-7 from an honest-to-goodness Dealer. That engine was released in 1997, and he still had one in stock!
