Today I visited AMRA in Sydney and had a look at their layouts, they have three operational layouts, N, Ho and O scale. Of course I was there to see the Ho layout which is DC but being converted to run both Dc and DCC. The main lines are also automated but does have a rather large control centre

Great to see some of the impressive looking Australian trains for a change! How did those SP infiltrators get in there? .......

I would really like to see more Australian prototype models.

That's one heck of a control panel! Will it convert to DCC without any problem?

Australian model railway video in HO - "An Australian Twosome"

Those are great photos there, Colonel. I particularly like the Garratt loco.

To augment this thread, may I offer a 5 minute video from my HO Dorking Garden Railway called An Australian Twosome at:

Hope that link works again (now I've changed it).

I'll second the above. I've seen video of a Garrett in operation. They're impressive. Kind of like watching a Big Boy, if somewhat smaller. Nice job of weathering the model, too.

That Garratt does look nice. Wish I could see it up close and personal, in action.

Dorkingian- You have a really impressive looking bridge!
