A new exhibit opens today, February 17, 2002, at the Danbury Railway Museum, for a limited run. "The Way it Was" is a photographic essay of New England Railroads in the 1930s by L Peter Cornwall. The exhibit, which can be seen during the Museum's regular hours, will run until May 18, 2002. The Danbury Railway Museum is located in Danbury, Connecticut at 120, white Street. Current hours are, Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sundays, 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. Beginning in April, the Museum will also be open Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m., and closing time will be extended to 5:00 p.m. each day. Copies of all photographs in the L. Peter Cornwall exhibit are available exclusively through the Danbury Railway Museum Gift Shop. His books are also available there. Just a reminder - Saturday, May 18th is the last day for this exhibit. It also happens to be the day of the DRM's annual Spring Railfair.
