I have just finished painting the latest caboose.. I aisrbrushed the body then used a fine brush to painting the handrails and steps white. All goes well I'll be decaling later this afternoon
There's a real caboose row! How long did this take? The thread started on 23Oct2005. About two months for seven cabooses! Pretty good.
Flash, Actually I have only kitbashed / painted 5 so far, two are orginal MT MoPAc however I did add additional decals and window glass. At this stage I intend on doing two more possibly three then that should complete my caboose roster. Chuck, That is me with everything once I decide to do a project I pretty much work to finish it. Oh special thanks to Patrick Buchanan who came over last night and as a Chrissie Pressie gave me a MoPac caboose decal sheet. I had run out of the blue screaming eagle decal and if it wasnt for him this caboose would not have been finished.
Mon Colonel, a question for you! Decals? What have you used for these? I assume it's one or two sets that neede to be purchased?
Paul, Thanks for the info. That'll come in handy. I've got an ol' Conrail (Atlas) Caboose that is just like that Rock Island one you used 2 or 3 cabeeses back. Was having a re-look at this thread this morning, got to that post (now THAT configuration looks familiar) sure enough - same caboose, different road. Probably pretty common. BTW MoPac 13506 might still exist. Did a little research this morning. Seems it's sitting outside the AMTRAK Station in Indpendence, MO. Here's a link: Missouri Pacific Caboose 13506 Hasn't moved in a while. Still looks like it belongs on the end of a train though.
That one looks like a wide vision without the wide coupola. Maybe use a wide vision and a regular coupola? Another kitbash! http://www.trainweb.org/dbrr/cabsavedhtml/MP13506.html
I thought the number on the side of that one bash was 13506. It's not?? What is the number? My bifocals can't quite focal on that... I looked up the wrong number...
