    Hello,

I'm thinking of switching to Kato Unitrack on my layout. and before I go ahead and buy the track, I have a few questions:

    1. Are the 492mm (19 3/8") Remote Turnouts the same as other manufacturers No.6 turnouts?

    2. I will be getting the Remote turnouts, is there anything else I will need to get in addition to these for control, etc.

    3. The feeder track is the track that connects into the Kato Unitrack transformer...right?

    Thanks,

    Sean

I have N scale Kato Unitrack.

The only turnouts that Kato makes in HO scale is the number six turnouts.

The feeder track is the track that connects into the Unitrack power supply .

You can save yourself some money by soldering one feeder to each rail of a track section and then connecting the feeders to the power supply. It does the same thing at relatively no cost.

Stay cool and run steam.... [IMG]

    The 492mm (19 3/8") R 34 1/8" are the #6's.

    The 246mm ( 9 3/4" ) R 21 5/8" are the #4's.
