I've noticed 3 different trucks supplied with the Intermountain cylindrical hoppers, the first, or original style, then Accumates, and now Micro-trains. If you compare the sizes of the 3, they're all different. Does anyone know which of these comes closest to representing true scale size for these cars? Thanks, Al.
Based on what I've read, the Micro-Trains Barber trucks are not 100-ton trucks, nor or they the correct length. I can't say if that's true or not. Maybe someone else knows. I would think the original Intermountain trucks are correct. As for the Accumates, the knuckle couplers extend too far out because Atlas had to provide room to mount Rapido couplers (for those still using them).
