We're back from another weekend, how did you do? I'm tired but had a great weekend running trains, seeing old friends and meeting new modelers all around. Friday set up was pretty smooth and relaxing, I wish all shows were like this. It really gave us time to set up and get things running before having a nice lunch across the street, before coming back and fine running the layout. We had only one "angry" person who objected to the layout height, but most really embraced it. I got to meet a few fellow Trainboard members too and that is always nice to see and talk to the other talented modelers on this board. So how about you? How did you do? Let us know. We'll come back here on Friday the 18th and start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and... High Greens!
This weekend I did manage to get track put down. Wasn't able to get in the workshop as I wanted. However, I did manage to get to a local Digitrax dealer and pick up some DS64 modules. I am going to use several of those for "routing" out of my fiddle yard. In any event, here's some shots of the trackwork I've managed to squeeze out this weekend:
Cleaned up some on the workbench and ran some trains just for fun. Started testing track work after my ballasting job and identified a few spots that needed attention. Got most of them taken care of, but I'm thinking some detailed TLC would go a long way towards making me happy again. That and several hours of pushing cars back and forth.
I posted on the 'Workbench' thread I was working on a GN 'chipper' and a NKP caboose. Both done...but have yet to weather the chip csr. Here's the NKP.....
I finally got my butt in gear and started on my planes fire and rescue diorama. It is a lift out section and when complete will have a small airfield on the side of a mountain. This is the foam board supports. When I glue them down I will form them a little more with a blade then use a cardboard mesh covered with plaster cloth.
